This one-of-a-kind mixed media piece captures the tension between the icon and the individual, the legend and the life behind it.
A bright half-tone portrait of Brandon Lee anchors the work, layered with a torn black-and-white image of him in full Crow makeup as Eric Draven. Subtle lines from the original film script ghost across the surface, binding the man to his final role. Strategically placed fragments from the movie—rendered in high-gloss black and white—mirror the film’s rain-slick sheen, while allowing the grit and gravity beneath to show through.
Built on a solid wood panel, the composition features circular wood inlays for selected film imagery, creating depth and tactility that echo the physicality of old film reels.
It’s a tribute to a film that defined a generation of goth and alternative culture, and to the story behind the screen.
